Walton International closes local ops

PETALING JAYA:

Walton International Property Group (M) Sdn Bhd (WIPG), which attracted controversy when it was raided and probed by Bank Negara three years ago, has closed down its offices here.

WIPG’s parent company, the Walton International Group, informed its agents and investors in Malaysia of the decision last Monday citing “restructuring of its Asia operations” as the reason for it, a statement dated June 24 that went unnoticed said. The statement said that Malaysian investors would now be serviced out of Walton’s Singapore office. It also assured investors that their investments were sound.

MAS to tighten rules on gold buyback and landbanking schemes

SINGAPORE will regulate investment schemes such as gold buybacks and collective landbanking after 2016, making it harder for providers of the controversial products to reach retail investors.

The regulatory changes, which will be tabled in parliament next year, will be based on the existing Securities Futures Act, the Monetary Authority of Singapore (MAS) announced on Tuesday.

Land banking in Singapore will go out of business

Walton hat in Deutschland eine Menge Geld eingesammelt - Anleger nun verunsichert

Das nicht nur durch unsere Berichterstattung, sondern wohl auch weil man sich von Walton, was die aktuellen Informationen anbetrifft, nicht gut informiert fühlt. Mit dafür in der Verantwortung sieht man natürlich Benno Nagy, der auch uns bis jetzt nicht Zurückgerufen hat.

Nun, möglich das er im Moment eine Menge schlecht informierter Anleger beruhigen muss. Schaut man sich die Bilanzen der einzelnen Walton Investments einmal an, dann kommt man auf einen Millionenbetrag im 2-stelligen Bereich in der Addition aller Investments, die nun im Feuer stehen. Wie sich das Alles genau verhält sollte das Unternehmen Walton doch einmal genauer erklären. Am besten auf seiner Homepage, damit sich das Thema im Moment einmal beruhigt. Ein mögliches Desaster in dieser Größenordnung für Anleger ist sicherlich dann nicht wünschenswert.
